Dear Members of the Pixar Employment Department:
It is my objective to secure a fulltime position as an animator for a recognized company.
This May 2020, I am graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas Arts and Technology School with a Masters in Animation and Fine Arts. I have educated in both the traditional and modern styles of animation and have mastered both 2D and 3D animation styles. I have taken electives on the history of animation and story theory. I minored in creative writing, allowing me to creative innovative, interesting stories that stand out from the crowd in all the right ways.
With this letter of intent, I submit my application for the assistant lead animator position you have listed on your current careers bulletin. I am well aware of the outstanding quality in films that your studios have produced in the past. I am convinced I want to utilize my skills for the best corporation possible. Our storytelling trends and views on the nature of life seem to coincide perfectly and from the research i've done I can tell my work would fit in right alongside your classics. I have enclosed a copy of my animation, writing and general art portfolio. I have also included my application, CV and artist's statement.
While I was a student, I studied with many fantastic professors who were professionals in their fields. Because of their influence and childhood inspiration, I cam convinced I want to pursue a career in animation. I understand the conditions of the position that I am applying for and am willing to comply with each. Please find a list of my preferred references within my CV.
I hope to meet with you and show you my portfolio and credentials face to face. I can be reached at 972-510-3506 or at sierrasoulakis@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Sierra Soulakis
